Kaiser Permanente plans to launch its own medical school in Southern California.

“It is a game changer,” said Wilkes at UC Davis. “Universities are not geared or staffed to teach around the modern practice of medicine. They are fixed in an outdated model of education guided by a report written 100 years ago.”
